Seongmin Hong
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of New Media and Communications (INMC) at Seoul National University (SNU), currently completing alternative military service.
I earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University, advised by Prof. Se Young Chun (ICL). I view generative AI not as a one-shot sampler, but as a differentiable optimization process, and my research focuses on endowing modern generative architectures with invertibility and differentiability. This perspective enables physically grounded inference in imaging and integrity-by-design generation for public-facing media. My doctoral thesis was awarded the Distinguished Ph.D. Dissertation Award.
